NO: Good Money: Nearly 1000 Billionaires In The World !
Do you know how many Billionaires are there in the world? According to ‘FORBES’, there are 945 Billionaires in the world currently, 35% more than the year before. Total assets of all the billionaires is worth more than USD 3.5 Trillion !!
Last year, there are 178 new members for the Billionaires Club; 13 Chinese, 14 Indians and 19 Russians (totally 46 new billionaires from BRIC countries). Who is the richest? No doubt, my idol, Microsoft founder, Mr. Bill Gates has been 13 years consecutively being the richest man in the world, with a total personal assets of more than USD 56 Billions.
The average age of the billionaires is 62 year old and 66% of them are the founder of their respective business and enterprises. Their wealth came from all sorts of business, ie. Media, Property, Food and Beverage, Furniture, IT, Investment, Casino, Hotel, Banking, Fashion and many more. This concludes that whoever could be rich in whatever business, solely depends on their ability and harwork.
‘FORBES’ also revealed that factors such as inflation, strong market demand on property and share market Bull Run are some of the reasons why there are more Billionaires in this world.
What actually interest me is where my famous figure is in the list. Warren Buffett, the God of Share Market and investment, is 2nd richest; IKEA founder (sorry, can’t remember the name, maybe someone could help) is 4th Richest; Hong Kong Entrepreneur, Mr Lee Ka Shing, is No.8, 2nd year in a row. There are totally 41 Billionaires in China, 36 Billionaires in India and 24 in Japan.
How about Malaysia? Shangri-la owner, Dato’ Kwok is 104th with a total assets of USD7 Billlion; Astro and Maxis founder, Adnanda Krisnan is 119th with a total assets of USD6 Billion; Genting founder, Mr. Lim Goh Tung is 204th with USD4.2 Billion worth of assets and Public Bank’s founder, Dato’ Cheng is 287th richest man in the world with a total assets of USD3 Billion. Where are you?
